feliz dia de las madres

well first off.... you dont need to be in Argentina to get bite by a dog lol everyone here has like 10 dogs and we were teaching this family in their garage and i stood up to have the lady read a scipture and one of her dogs came and attacked me lol it was just a little one dont worry but it was aggressive and i got a couple teeth marks into the leg. hahaha and also this week we had one man tell us that he will wait for us and another text us "good morning gorgeous girls" so we've been passing some of our investigators to the Elders haha.
the good news is that we have to super solid families that we are teaching right now and this week one of the little girls was praying and said "thank you God for coming into our lifes" in spanish but it was so cute and she is the one teaching her parents how to pray it is so cute and totally shows exactly what the scriptures mean when they say we need to be like little children.
we also had a less active that came to church for the first time in a couple months because her husband wont drive her and she doesnt have a car but she bore her testimony and it was kind of sad because she talked about how her husband is a big obstacle because he won't accept God in his life and won't let her take the kids to church but she has a lot of faith and it was cool to see all of the support from the ward when they were hugging her afterwards. our church had more people then ever this week hahah funny how that is the kind of things missionaries get excited about but it was cool.
on saturday the Elders had a baptism and while the people are changing a set of missionaries always teaches the resturation lesson and so this time me and my companion did it and afterwards all the old ladies in my ward were hugging me and one was like " i am so proud of you" haha the first english I ever heard her speak but they are super nice to me and help me with my spanish.
It was a great week though and I love being a missionary! I found this scripture this week that I love!
"Behold I say unto you that whoso believeth in Christ, doubting nothing, whatsoever he shall ask the Father in my the name of Christ it shall be granted unto him; and this promise is unto all, even unto the ends of the earth"
So doubt not and keep acting in faith!!! I LOVE YOU

no time

sorry I dont have much time for a group email because I have been chatting with you but this week has been another awesome one wow the weeks just fly by!! we got to go to the Temple and do baptisms with our ward and our recent convert Jr. haha junior weighs 280 pounds so it was a little rough for him to be dunked so many times in a row but it was awesome. the Temple is amazing I love being there. We commited 5 people yesterday to be baptized on the 23 of May so we are excited about that!!
hahah being a missionary is so awesome there are so many experiences everyday that i just start giggling because I never thought i would end up riding home from the Temple in a big Mexican RV or trying to stuff pig skin and a plate full of rice down my throat but I love it! thanks for all of your prayers! I feel all of the love and support! have a good week

Focus on the Temple

HOLAAAAA
hahaha the library is so quiet but i end up laughing so loud at all of your guys emails every week when i get on. this week was pretty good. last wednesday we went to transfer meeting and I had to say goodbye to hermana briggs..i shed a couple tears im going to miss her a lot haha president saw us all hugging and was like "im sorry sisters" it was a bummer but the Lord needs her in Ramona now so its just me and sister chamberlain.. its kinda weird just living in an apartment with the two of us now but super fun i love her and we get along great. we had stake conference this past weekend and the stake president is starting a "Temple focus initative" so were trying to get everyone online to do family history and then to the Temple to do the work for their family members I think its awesome because everything we do should be leading us to the Temple and a lot of members and less actives arent going to the Temple as much as they should.

This week in our district meeting our district leader posed this question for all of us to think about..."what can i do right now to act in faith?" I love that question because faith really is all about action and even though sometimes its scary to act in faith but "we can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth us" so ive been thinking about that question a lot this week.

last night was the best part of the week though. we had an a appointment with a woman last night who we taught a short lesson to last week but we were going to teach her the Restoration yesterday so we knocked  on her door went in and were talking to her for a minute then her husband comes home from work and walks back to the bedroom or something but we wanted to start the lesson so we asked the women if anyone else in her family would want to listen and she said her husband would so she got up to go get him and for some reason both me and my companion got super nervous and that doesnt usually happen so we were just like ahhhh but anyways they both came back and we taught the first lesson and it went so good- we were talking about joesph smith and had the husband read james 1:5 and he started getting choked up and at the end of the lesson he was crying. wow it was incredible the spirit was so strong and me and my companion could both feel that the Lord has big things in store for that family. we are so excited to meet with them again.
anyways though I love the people here in chula vista ah its so awesome to get to teach and testify about Christ and this gosepel everyday. hahaha some people look at us like were crazy but many more are loving and kind and want to learn more about their Savior. I hope you all have a good week!! Im always praying for you!! xoxo hermana koelliker

ps the picture is from phil bbq in san diego..so good the member took us there after the mormon batalion
LOVE YOU

HOLA

mi familia y amigos
como estan???
I hope all is well with everyone im sorry I havent written a good group email in a little while because my email time has been cutt short but I am loving it here in San Diego. everyone refers to me and my companions as la tria haha but sad to say la tria is being terminated and one of my companions is getting transfered tomorrow, we kind of all knew that it was coming because we were having too much fun. this was a great week though we had the baptism of junior a 28 year old who completely changed his life around in like one month which is so awesome. sometimes he accidentally slips swear words into his prayers to have a "good a day" and things like that but its okay because his heart is in the right place and thats all that matters. it was really sweet though the day before his baptism he was praying with us and said "please bless that these three angels can stay in my life" it makes me so happy when people call us angels because I know that God is with us as we do His work. anyways so he was baptized friday along with two other people that the other elder in our ward taught and it was really cool. On saturday we took our two recent converts and our friend Edgar to do family history work haha we got a super long boring tour as you would expect but once we finally made it to the computers we found out that the two recent converts have a bunch of mormon ansesters that live in Utah so that was pretty cool. in a couple weeks we are going to get to go to the Temple with them and do some baptisms so I am excited for that. This week we decided to drop most of our investigators because there isnt very many attending church, so we were kind of worried yesterday that we wouldnt have anyone to teach but we were out on the street and added 7 new investigators within like 2 hours so that was awesome and im hoping that some of them will be ready to commit and progress toward baptism.
I found this quote in preach my gospel this week that I really like,
"True Christianity is love in action- There is no better way to manifest your love for God then to show unselfish love for you fellow man. This is the spirit of missionary work."
we all need to put our love in action and share the light of the gospel with everyone we meet. I love you all and am praying for you! have the best week!!
