San Diegoooooo

This week was kinda like the first week at the MTC... a little slow but still super fun and I LOVE my companions we have so much fun the trio life is a good life until they both stare at me and want me to say something in spanish that i dont have the words for haha. pretty much everyone that lives in my area is bilingual though so we speak about 50/50 English and Spanish. we usually start the conversation in Spanish but I think some people feel weird talking to three white girls in espanol so they switch to English. every morning we wake up at 6:20 and run to the high school track that's like a half mile away and then workout there- Monday Wednesday Friday is all running and the other days we can do whatever but its nice to do it at the track after that we shower and eat and then have 4 hours of study because their training me so the study gets a little long sometime but its good. then we head out to visit people- were lucky and get the car the other sisters that live in our apartment complex have bikes which looks kinda fun too but the car is nice. last week we had a baptism haha i obviously wasnt the missionary that taught him all the lessons but it was cool cause i got to meet with him a couple times before the baptism and on friday night me and my companions went to olive garden with him and a member hahahah i laughed so hard looking around the table of olive garden on friday night with three sister missionaries and a 50 and 28 year old mexican men speaking spanglish and enjoying some breadsticks lol the other sisters are so used to stuff like that but i thought it was such a funny random thing- definately never had a friday night like that before but it was awesome.
On thursday night we got to teach a lesson on the Temple grounds which was so beautiful it was with one of the zone leaders investigators (elder swenson and elder conner) haha but the five of us taught her because she relates better to the sisters. it was a very powerful lesson and were hoping it will help her get baptized sooner- (she origninally wanted to wait til july).at the end of the lesson it was super cool she said "I love this army the lord has sent me" a member of the mission president and his wife were with us at the temple lesson and afterwards we went to in and out burger haha we were all getting back in the car when we finished eating and someone said "hey look at that mormon with all of his wifes" we thought that was funny.anyways the baptism was saturday and all went well he was so excited. he showed up at church sunday and said that he felt different when he woke up that morning. church was all in spanish so i had to concentrate super hard to know what was said haha and then in the third hour the missionaries had to teach about the new easter thing el vive or because he lives and i had to share a short testimony haha i apoligized for my spanish and then all the old ladies thought it was so cute and funny so they came up and hugged me after.
for pday i got to go to the mall and me and my companion played a tennis match against the zone leaders haha this mission is awesome- tennis and shopping what more could you need. dont worry though im working hard though and i love the lessons and teaching!!
I loved the womens conference this saturday we got to watch in it english so that was nice elder eyrings talk was awesome about compasion. I loved at the end when he said charity is the pure love of christ and his love never faileth. I hope we can all be looking around for someone who needs our strength and love.
I am praying for you all and hope that your having a wonderful spring break!! keep the faith

I Made It!

hahaha last night at 10:30 I took my luggage in to weigh it and one of the bags weighed 80 pounds oopps i have no idea how that happened but then I spent hours trying to figure out how to make it work and sent like 6 boxes of stuff home and it was still overweight. anyways so after about two hours of sleep last night I left the MTC at 3:30 am and took trax to the airport and traveled with the Carlsbad missionaries, luckily one of them was in my district from the MTC and had to pack my curling iron and some of my books in his bag haha. anyways though I arrived here at 9:45 ish i think and was greeted by my mission president, his wife and my two new companions who are so awesome one is from st george and the other from oregon. they helped me get my luggage and my curling iron back lol and then we went to the mission office. we have a car that yells at us if we go more then 5 above the speed limit or something haha but I had a interview with the president and then he met with me and my companions and today is pday here so I get to email every tuesday for two hours. I was sad to find out that we dont get to go see the beach at all, the rule used to be that we cant touch the sand and now its nothing at all unless its from the distance so darn. anyways after we were at the office for awhile we traveled down to our area called chula vista which is apparently pretty close to the mexico border lots of latinos and espanol ahhh kinda scary for me but its good. they also said that we can go to the temple whenever I want which I am so excited about because the san diego temple is so beautiful! also its a rule that we run every monday wednesday and friday so I am so happy about that cause that means that i wont have to try and convince any of my companions to run cause they have to! my companions have a baptism planned for this weekend but they said that the people are being kinda weird so idk what that means maybe it wont happen but I hope so because that would be awesome. after this we are going to the grocery store and then to our apartment and they said we plan sports with some of the elders on pday haha so maybe a bball game in there somewhere and tonight is a ward activity. so lots going on haha this might be the longest day of my life not in a bad way just in a way that ive never stayed up so long on only two hours of sleep. I love it here already my companions are aweome and it is beautiful! love you and miss you all but i know this is excatly where im supposed to be.
